CEDIA Education Terms & Conditions
1. These are the terms on which CEDIA agree to accept the booking specified. They represent the entire agreement between you and CEDIA and by signing the course booking form you accept these terms and agree that any terms and conditions that you may supply or have supplied to CEDIA will not apply.
2. Telephone or provisional bookings will be noted but will not be deemed to be binding on or CEDIA may resell the place provisionally reserved,
unless and until or CEDIA have confirmed receipt of written confirmation. Written confirmation can only be accepted by or CEDIA in the form of a payment of the course fee and an original course booking form, duly signed and returned within five (5) working days of the provisional booking or CEDIA may, at its discretion, extend this period.
3. CEDIA will, on receipt of the signed course booking form with the course fee, issue an invoice, which must be paid in full 28 days prior to course commencement. Should you wish to cancel the booking please notify or CEDIA in writing. For cancellations received between fourteen (14) and twenty eight (28) days before the course commencement date, 50% of the course will be refunded. No refund can be given and the full course fee remains payable in respect of cancellations received by or CEDIA within fourteen (14) days of the course commencement or in the event of non-attendance. For course date rescheduling requests received twenty eight (28) days or more before the course commencement date, 50% of the course fee will be charged.
For requests to reschedule received less than fourteen (14) days before the commencement date there will be no refund of the course fee. Should you wish to send a substitute participant you may do so, but please provide as much notice as possible.
4. CEDIA’s advertised prices are subject to change at any time. Details of up to date prices are available from CEDIA. CEDIA may increase the price of an accepted booking by giving you notice in writing of the increase. The notice will specify that you may, within thirty (30) days of receipt of the notice, give us a further notice canceling the booking. All payments made will then be refunded in full and neither party will have any further liability to the other in respect of the booking. If counter notice is not given the increased fee will become due in full.
5. CEDIA reserves the right to vary the location and / or the designated instructor of any course, but will ensure that alternatives are suitable for the purpose.
6. In the event that CEDIA has to cancel a course for insufficient attendance or circumstance beyond their reasonable control notice will be given and CEDIA will, in full settlement of its liability to you, refund all payments made in full.
7. All course material, documentation, course handouts and similar items are subject to copyright owned by CEDIA and may not be reproduced in full or in part without prior written consent of CEDIA. Should customers require further copies of such documentation for colleagues of participants they should contact CEDIA who may be prepared to sell such copies to them, for a further fee.
8. The names and details of participants on all courses are confidential and you agree not to release such details concerning other attendees to any third party.
9. Reasonable care has been taken to ensure that all written material available at the courses and the content of the presentations, is correct as at the date stated in the written material. They take no account of updates in law or practice beyond that date. Written material should not be relied upon except by those who have attended a CEDIA course and should be read in conjunction with the instruction given at that course.
10. You are responsible for yourself and your participants whilst at CEDIA, the course location or in accommodation provided / recommended by CEDIA. You will indemnify CEDIA in full against any loss or damage cost or claim incurred by CEDIA as a result of your or their behavior, acts or omissions. Any participant who behaves in a manner deemed by CEDIA to be disruptive to the course or to other participants may be excluded from the course and no refund of fees will be made.
11. CEDIA accepts no liability for personal effects, motor vehicles or other items brought on to any such premises by you or your participants and you will indemnify CEDIA against any claim which may be made against CEDIA for their loss or damage. This does not apply to death
or personal injury caused by the negligence of CEDIA. As stated above confirmation of a provisional booking comprises of an official purchase order or an original signed course booking form with the course fees. Confirmation should then be received by CEDIA within five (5) working days of the provisional booking. The course fee is payable in full no later then twenty eight (28) days before the course commencement date. Payment can be made by any of the following methods: Credit Card / Cheque / Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) and Cash. Cheques should be made payable to CEDIA and have the student name, course title and course date clearly written on the reverse. Credit cards accepted by CEDIA are Bankcard, Mastercard and Visa. Bank details for Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) payments can be obtained from CEDIA bookings department. If you or your company has not already confirmed this booking in the form of a purchase order, please enter a purchase order number OR enclose the course fee as appropriate.
