Integrated residential electronic systems design is a skills set that is core to every company working in the CEDIA space. This course has been newly developed to teach those skills in a way that balances real world situations with an integrated engineering design philosophy. The course is suitable for individuals who are either CEDIA Installer Level One/ESTII certified, or who have at least three years industry experience. It is also excellent towards (though DOES NOT constitute complete) preparation for the CEDIA Designer Level One certification exam.

This course is not Powerpoint hell but instead with most of the week is spent either in discussion, or collaborating in small groups. At the end of the week, you should have gained both knowledge and experience of holistic integrated systems design. The course comprises 18 modules (Timetable is flexible) spread over five days. There will be lots of time for interactive discussion as well as the flexibility to cover specific topics that are not within the course structure. In all areas, emphasis will be placed on developing a structured, scalable and repeatable design methodology that is focused on profit.

This course is suitable for – 

·       Individuals who are already either Installer Level One, or ESTII certified that wish to prepare for the CEDIA Designer level one exam.

·       Individuals with at least three years industry experience looking to take their first steps into structured integrated systems design

·       Experienced residential systems designers looking to formalise their existing knowledge, learn from their peers and discover current technologies and future trends

·       Experienced technical Project Managers looking for additional structure and perspective to add to their processes.

Please not that this is an advanced course and as such does not teach basic technical or engineering knowledge. It is essential that participants have knowledge equivalent to the CEDIA ESTII curriculum and that this is backed up by at least two years industry experience.

Course Facilitator – 

Peter Aylett has been working in the residential technology sector for over 22 years. Recently as Director Of Professional Development for CEDIA in The UK, he was responsible for creating and delivering content across all of CEDIA’s curriculum to audiences across four continents. Peter has a huge amount of experience in both installation and design and has been a Subject Matter Expert in the creation and ongoing development of all CEDIA’s certifications.

Peter now owns a training and consultancy company providing services to a diverse set of global clients.

In addition, throughout the week there will be a range of guest subject matter experts who will be brought in to share their knowledge, experience and perspectives.
