Guests at the prestigious CEDIA Electronic Lifestyles Awards dinner celebrated in style at the majestic Plaza Ballroom, witnessing some of Asia Pacific’s best and most interesting custom installations of home technology ever seen in this part of the world.
The 2010 event was a truly international affair with winners not only from Australia, but from as far away as China and New Zealand being recognised for their efforts. The event celebrated the true depth of design and installation talent in the custom electronics installation sector.
The CEDIA awards continues to reflect the growth of the Association throughout the Asia Pacific.

1. Best Integrated Home Installation over $300,000
Winner: Home Theatrix, Qld

3. Best Integrated Home Installation under $150,000

“It’s absolutely amazing to win this category. The home is a masonry home in suburban Auckland with perimeter security, access control, lighting control and touch panels in a full automation system. Just a really nice project in a compact home design. The builders, architect and home-owners were all great people to deal with”

6. Best Dressed System (Residential)

“We won an award last year but if feels great to win two this year. This domestic project was a totally self-sufficient home in Newcastle with 52 solar cells, the owners haven’t had an electricity bill yet. They have four 20,000-litre water tanks, all monitored from a Switch Automation touch panel so they can view the levels of their tanks, how much power they are using.”

The prestigious CEDIA Awards recognise and promote high quality system design, installation and integration within the custom electronic automation industry; setting the standard for CEDIA Electronic Systems Professional members across CEDIA Asia Pacific.
A CEDIA Electronic Lifestyles® Award is an endorsement of your skills as an installer/designer, and provides a valuable opportunity for marketing and promotion of those skills to your client base.
Entry was open to all CEDIA Electronic Systems Professional (ESP) members. The entries were judged by a panel of industry experts and the winners were announced at the CEDIA Electronic Lifestyles® Awards Night, held at the Plaza Ballroom, Melbourne on Wednesday 23 June 2010, during the annual CEDIA Expo in Melbourne (CEDIA Expo 2010 ran 23-25 June 2010).
