Details

General information on cabling regulation can be viewed on the following ACMA web page:
http://www.acma.gov.au/ACMAINTER.131218:STANDARD::pc=PC_2460

A list of Approved Training Providers in each state is available here:
http://www.citt.com.au/files/File/TITAB_CPR_012_Accredited_Training_Providers_v3.1(3).pdf

These training providers can give advice on the most expedient training pathway to qualify for a cabling registration, including information on recognition of prior learning provisions.
Once the required training is completed, new cablers may apply for a cabling registration with one of the five ACMA-accredited registrars who provide these registration services on ACMA's behalf.  Click on the link below to view the contact details and web links for these registrars:
http://www.acma.gov.au/WEB/STANDARD/pc=PC_2457

Cablers are free to choose whichever registrar they like.  All five registrars offer Open, Restricted and Lift registration types, all provide Australia wide coverage and all are recognised equally by ACMA.
More information on cabling registration is available in the ACMA booklet entitled "So you want to be a registered cabler?", click below to view:
