Prime Minister Kevin Rudd promised to roll out the new National High Speed Broadband network when he was elected. Fibre Optics will eventually replace copper to deliver a far superior signal. So now is the time to join the fibre revolution. Image Design Technology P/L (IDT) & Communications Specialties Inc (CSI) will be conducting a Fibre-Ed workshop and live product demonstration in Sydney & Melbourne on fibre technology in the Pro AV & Broadcast industry. If you missed the workshops at SMPTE 09 then come along to learn how IDT & CSI can help you join the movement to fibre.
John Lopinto will be the guest speaker. John is President, CEO and co-founder of Communications Specialties, Inc., a leading manufacturer of fibre optic transmission systems and high-performance computer-video interface products.
John holds a Bachelor of Electrical Engineering degree. His professional affiliations include the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers, the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers, and Infocomm, where he is a member of the Infocomm Adjunct Faculty. He has taught numerous seminars on fibre optic technology throughout the , Europe, and Asia.

The workshop is FREE to all and will consist of a presentation from John on Fibre Technology for Pro AV and Broadcast Environments. A short presentation on fibre cabling by the workshops sponsor AFC will also be included. There will then be a short Q&A where John will answer your questions. After the Q&A everyone will be invited to have hands on demonstrations of the new fibre products from CSI and fibre cables from AFC. Attendees will also be shown how simple it is to terminate fibre cables.
