It’s 6 months until CEDIA Expo 2008 opens its doors at the Gold Coast Convention & Exhibition Centre, and already 60% of the floor space has been taken up. This year’s event promises to be the biggest and best ever, with a host of major new players signing up to join the already impressive list of regular exhibitors.
So why rush to book a space?
For the first time ever, CEDIA Expo 2008 will include both residential and commercial markets, providing the perfect platform to launch, display and demonstrate technology products and services across both sectors. What an outstanding opportunity!
So how will CEDIA Expo target the commercial market?
To maximise the opportunity within the commercial environment, CEDIA Expo will target those directly involved in the specification, design or decision making process in the following sectors: Corporate, Government, Defence, Hospitality, Pubs and Clubs, Houses of Worship, Amusement Parks and Higher Education.
New Awards announced for 2008!
The purpose of the CEDIA Custom Installation Awards is to recognise and reward high quality system design, installation and integration within the residential electronics industry. We are pleased to announce that the categories have been extended this year to include a category devoted to commercial projects. This new addition is consistent with our focus this year on expanding beyond the home. Also added to the list is ‘Best Project Documentation’ to reward expertise in this crucial step of the project process.
The full list of ‘CEDIA Custom Installation Awards 2008’ categories is as follows;
- Best Integrated Home Installation under $150,000
- Best Integrated Home Installation $150,000 - $300,000
- Best Integrated Home Installation over $300,000
- Best Home Theatre under $50,000
- Best Home Theatre $50,000 - $100,000
- Best Home Theatre over $100,000
- Best Media Room
- Best Special Project – Domestic
- Best Special Project – Commercial
- Best Dressed System (Residential)
- Best Project Documentation
Entry is open to all CEDIA Electronic Systems Professional (ESP) members. The entries are judged by a panel of industry experts and the winners announced at the Awards Night on Friday 1 August.
