Training In Home Electronic Systems
Sydney, Australia – CEDIA Asia Pacific has scheduled four separate weeks of training in home electronic integrated systems in the spring.
In the Design workshop, Adams will focus on designing home integration systems – structured cabling, whole-house audio/video, home theater, lighting, HVAC, and security. Whether working for one of the specialized firms that install and service only one or two home technologies (home theater, for example), or for a broad-based systems integrator that supplies total integration solutions, the knowledge in this course, confirmed by the CEDIA certification (Members Only), will assure multiple career opportunities in an expanding technological field.
In the Project Management workshop, he will explain key elements in managing home integration projects efficiently and effectively from the project manager’s viewpoint. Adams acts as an innovative guide to establishing a solid foundation for understanding project management as it relates to the dynamic and highly complex custom installation and systems integration field.
From operations turnover to document review and the final project schedule, this course covers the management of residential integration projects in basic steps. Topics include project life cycle, work breakdown structure, project scope, project cost, project time and scheduling, and building PM systems.
Adams is the author of Residential Integrator’s Certification and Residential Integrator’s Project Management, the texts used in the workshops.
A 15-year veteran of the industry, Adams has taught numerous seminars and workshops in the UK, Canada, and the US. CEDIA US named him one of its top 10 instructors at the CEDIA US Expo 2007. He is recognized as a CEDIA SME (subject matter expert) in residential integration. He founded DIpartner in 2002 to provide quality education for residential integrators. The company provides books, computer-based training and workshops on design, business and project management.
