FAQs

Q. When is the closing date for this year's awards?
A. The closing date is Wednesday 31 March, 5.00pm AEST
Q. Do I have to pay to enter?
A. No, entry is free to CEDIA Electronic Systems Professional (ESP) members across Asia Pacific. However, to keep the display boards there will be $50 charge per board (plus freight & handling if required).
Q. Can I enter more than one category?
A. Yes, but each entry must be submitted separately in its own file and have its own entry form. Any project submitted must have been completed within a period extending from Friday 1 May 2009 and Wednesday 31 March 2010. Projects are only eligible for consideration once into any year's CEDIA Awards scheme, so if, for example, a project has been entered into a category in the CEDIA Awards 2008 or 2009, then it cannot be entered into the CEDIA Awards 2010. The same project can be entered for more than one category.
Q. What should I include with my entry?
A. All awards submissions must be submitted on a separate CD for each entry and posted to CEDIA Asia Pacific. Your entry should include:
1. A completed entry form;
2. Images (minimum 300dpi jpg/tif files, or larger)
a. 1 x clearly marked lead image
b. Up to 5 subsidiary images;
3. Supporting materials such as technical drawings as pdfs.
Q. We are entering the Best Dressed category - what are the judges specifically looking for?
A. Out of sight does not mean out of mind in the Best Dressed Installation category! Taking a look behind the scenes, the judges made their decision based on the overall neatness of the finished project; including the main rack, cable infrastructure and wiring.
Q. What do you mean by Best Special Project?
A. The Best Special Project category was created to recognise those delivering automation and integration solutions which are most definitely outside-of-the-box. So if you have an unusual project, then this could be the category for you! Previous entries have included safe/panic room, transferring an old helicopter hanger into a high-tech entertainment area, and eco friendly homes.
