Course Summary
Begin building a career path as professional custom installer….
The Installer Level I course, provides a platform for the participants to obtain the essential knowledge, skills and attitudes required for commencing a career as a professional custom installer. The Installer Level I course covers the installation of technology systems into various building types, such as the installation of wiring, cable, components and devices for low voltage electronics in residential. Working with different tools and materials is a key component of this course. This course is an entry level course on the pathway to obtaining the CEDIA Installer Level I Certification.

• Industry orientation and the professional custom installers role
• Building and construction materials
• Fasteners, fixings and cable support systems
• Cable types and characteristics.
• Cable installation practices, pre-wire, trim out and retrofit techniques.
• Equipment installation practices including testing and configuration
• Hands on exercises
